Long Term Care Shift Supervisor Training Course

COURSE OVERVIEW

Course Overview:
This foundational course provides direction to clinical shift supervisors in long-term care settings. The target audience is RNs and LPNs working in long-term care settings.

  • Designed for nurses with duties related to staff oversight and unit supervision
  • Information is targeted to staff who have supervisory duties in their daily workload

Course Format:

The course is delivered with a hybrid model, including:

  • Prep work completed online before workshop
  • In person Workshop (interactive, includes case studies, scenarios and key content)
  • Follow exercise online
  • Certification

Course Expectations:
Participants are required to complete the online prep work before the workshop and complete the homework assignment to be given a credit for the course. The course is a pass/fail grading format and support from the instructor is provided to encourage student success.
Upon successful completion of this course, students are awarded the certificate of “Long Term Care Shift Supervisor Course”.

Course Fees:
Cost of the course and certificate is $595 per student plus HST

Note: Some reimbursements may be possible under funding from your province. In New Brunswick, this includes possible funding from the Department of Post Secondary Education Training and Labour under the Work Force Training program. Beacon Clinical Group can provide direction to apply for this funding, but the reimbursement and application process is done independently of Beacon Clinical Group by the applicant or their employer.
