April Connor
April Connor has been an integral member of the Loch Lomond Villa family in Saint John since 2011. Initially joining as a Personal Support Worker while pursuing her Bachelor of Nursing, April has ascended through various roles over the last decade as a Registered Nurse. Now serving as the RAI Coordinator since the launch of Momentum in New Brunswick in 2017, she leverages her extensive experience and dedication to quality improvement to enhance care for the residents. With a passion for excellence in long-term care, April continuously fosters a culture of collaboration and innovation in her nursing practice. April frequently consults other provinces, and national initiatives to further define quality and aligns Loch Lomond Villa policies and processes with national best practices in her role. In addition to her role as the InterRAI Coordinator, April serves on the Accreditation Committee, focusing on clinical quality of care, the Integrated Quality Management Committee, leading the dissemination of data analysis and interpretation for improvement, and also serves her colleagues through her participation on the Care for the Caregiver Committee.
Deeply passionate about mentoring aspiring health care professionals, April exemplifies dedication in her work and contribution to improving long term care. Outside of her professional life, she enjoys the invigorating chase of a good run and is the Program Lead for the volunteer program called NODA (No One Dies Alone), ensuring that every individual is comforted during life’s final moments.
