Documentation Series Recap: Falls, Falls, Falls with April Connor
On April 28th, 2025, New Brunswick Nursing Home Learning Campus (powered by Beacon Clinical Group) hosted another essential session in our Documentation Series: “Falls, Falls, Falls”, led by April Connor, RN, with live French translation available.
This session zeroed in on one of the most frequent—and preventable—incidents in long-term care: resident falls. April walked participants through documentation standards, incident reporting protocols, and care plan requirements. She also shared practical strategies to help homes improve compliance while supporting better resident outcomes.
April brings more than a decade of hands-on experience to this topic. A long-time leader at Loch Lomond Villa in Saint John, April currently serves as RAI Coordinator and plays a key role in provincial quality improvement initiatives. She’s known for her ability to simplify complex documentation systems and for her commitment to raising the standard of care in long-term care settings.
