Nancy Schuttenbeld

With over 33 years of nursing experience Nancy is passionate about wound and skin care in the elder population. Nancy has been employed as a Nurse Specialized in Wound, Ostomy and Continence Care (NSWOC) for over a decade. This position provides clinical care, consultation to patients, families, nurses, physicians and all other health care members on wound, ostomy and continence issues at six hospitals and long term care facilities in Area 3, New Brunswick.

Prior to this position she was employed as a Clinical Nurse Specialist for Horizon Health Network. She has led pressure injury studies for over 15 years and is currently a member of the National Pressure Injury Advisory Panel. In addition to Pressure Injury Prevention initiatives, she has been involved in a variety of quality improvement initiatives including streamlining wound care products from home care to in-patient and resident facilities provincially.

She has led annual wound conferences for over 16 years, biyearly wound resource workshops and loves teaching and believes in lifelong learning.

She has volunteered on numerous local, provincial and national organizations including board Director for Atlantic Canada for NSWOC National. She has presented locally, provincially and nationally on pain, wound care, pressure injury prevention and more. In June 2024 she launched her private practice Skin Wellness RN. Her passions include pressure injury prevention and pain management in wound care. She resides in Fredericton NB and loves reading, running, cycling and most importantly her three grown children AJ, Carter and Rachel.

Nathalie Godin

Nathalie Godin is a dedicated Registered Nurse and NSWOC (Nurse Specialized in Wound, Ostomy, and Continence) with a strong passion for wound care and patient advocacy. She earned her Bachelor of Nursing degree from the University of Moncton in 1996 and has since built an extensive career in healthcare.

With 25 years of experience in oncology, Nathalie has worked across inpatient units, chemotherapy clinics, medical oncology, and radiation oncology settings. She also spent eight years as a clinical monitor on the oncology floor for the University of Moncton and completed a Certificate in Adult Education. An active member of the Canadian Association of Nurses in Oncology (CANO), she has presented on immunotherapy at both provincial and national conferences.
In 2021, Nathalie transitioned into the specialized field of wound, ostomy, and continence nursing, completing the NSWOC program and obtaining CNA certification in 2023. Her expertise in wound care allows her to provide high-quality, evidence-based care to clients, enhancing their healing and quality of life. She is passionate about nursing, lifelong learning, and sharing her knowledge with others, making her a valued educator and mentor in her field.
Outside of her professional life, Nathalie enjoys spending time outdoors. She is an avid hiker, snowshoer, downhill skier, and hunter. She also cherishes time with her two adult children and her beloved dog.
