Wound Care Education Spotlight: Pressure Injuries – The Scarlet Letter in Health Care with Nancy Schuttenbeld and Nathalie Godin
On March 12th, 2025, the New Brunswick Nursing Home Learning Campus (powered by Beacon Clinical Group) was proud to present a live webinar featuring Nancy Schuttenbeld, RN, MN, NSWOC (c), as part of our ongoing Wound Care Education Series.
In this session, “Pressure Injuries: The Scarlet Letter in Health Care,” Nancy shared her deep knowledge of pressure injury prevention, staging, and management—including how to make informed product choices in long-term care and rehabilitation settings. Drawing on over 33 years of nursing experience, she offered practical insights and evidence-based strategies that participants could apply directly in their practice.

She is also the founder of Skin Wellness RN and a respected national educator in wound and skin care.
To ensure accessibility for French-speaking staff, a French-language version of this session was held on March 19th, 2025, led by Nathalie Godin, RN, NSWOCC.
Nathalie is a passionate wound, ostomy, and continence care specialist with 25 years of experience in oncology and a strong commitment to education and patient advocacy. She brings warmth, clinical precision, and deep expertise to her teaching.
